Beauty is an incredibly powerful tool, and cosmetics can do wonders to
enhance facial traits. Makeup helps highlight your best features, express your individuality, and in turn
bring out your beautiful best. Makeup makes you feel confident and great. A step by step procedure to
apply make up:
- Concealer
- Foundation
- Pressed Powder
- Blush
- Eye Shadow
- Mascara
- Lipstick
Concealer
A concealer covers blemishes and
other little imperfections. To apply: Dab under the eyes, near eyecorners by the nose. Blend gently with
fingertips. Choose the shade closest to your skin tone.
Foundation
Foundation evens your skin tone,
smoothes texture, and hides minor imperfections. To apply: Dot on forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin.
Smoothe evenly with downward and outward strokes. Blend well at jawline. Choose the shade closest
to your skin tone.
Pressed Powder
Pressed powder controls the
oily shine, smoothes skin, sets makeup so your look lasts longer. Lightly apply powder on forehead, cheeks,
nose, chin, and eyes with downward strokes. Always carry your pressed powder compact for touch-ups during
the day. Choose the shade closest to your skin tone.
Blush
Blush adds colour and glow to your face.
Starting at the center of your cheek, apply along the cheekbones; blend up into hailine. Choose the
shade that compliments your lipstick and eyeshadow colours.
Eye Shadow
Eyeshadows emphasize your natural
eye colour while defining the shape of your eyes. To apply: Blend a lighter tone over lids and browbones.
Sweep dark to medium coordinating shades over eyelid crease, just below browbone and at outer corner.
Choose shades that compliment your blush and lipstick colours.
Mascara
Mascara makes lashes look darker, thicker, and
longer. To apply: For top lashes, hold mascara wand horizontally and twirl up and out from bottom of
lashes to tip. Let dry. Apply second coat. For bottom lashes, hold wand vertically and sweep left to right
with wand tip.
Lipstick
Lip colour defines, shapes, and
smoothes your lips. Finish with lipstick. Start at the center of top lip and stroke out to each side.
Start at one corner of the bottom lip and stroke across. Follow the natural shape of your lips. To make
your lipstick last longer, powder your lips before applying colour.
